How can I recognize if it’s an Abusive Relationship?
It’s important that you know what to look out for, and swipe through to see some examples of red flags in relationships.
Abusive Red Flags: Pressure to Change
Pressurizes you to change yourself
Abusive Red Flags: Violent or Threatening Behaviors
This can be anything like yelling, physical attack, throwing things, threating, or using weapon
Abusive Red Flags: Verbal Abuse
Name calling, constantly putting you down, blaming you, or shaming you
Abusive Red Flags: Sexual Pressure
Pressuring for sex, sending nude pictures and making you do risky things even when you said no
Abusive Red Flags: Tracking You Constantly
Keeping an eye on you all the time – tracking your location physically or through technology.
Abusive Red Flags: Lying
If there is a pattern of them not being honest with you, no matter how big or small the topic, it’s important to note. You deserve to be with someone who can be truthful with you.
Abusive Red Flags: You Are Afraid of Them
You feel scared in their presence, or frightened by any language they use, or behaviors they demonstrate.
